On June 11, 2024, Intecracy Group held Intecracy Solution Day, a specialized offline event focused on innovation in enterprise content management. The central topic was intelligent document management using AI. Intecracy Group experts Yurii Syvytskyi and Serhii Balashuk showed the capabilities of next-generation document management on the Nectain Platform.

The source notes that the event was led by Data Management IG LLC, a member of Intecracy Group. For organizations working with enterprise document management, digital archives, data governance and integrations, the discussion was directly relevant: documents need to be stored, but they also need to be interpreted, routed and connected with business processes.

Event focus: AI in enterprise content

Intecracy Solution Day addressed the practical side of bringing artificial intelligence into business workflows. Participants discussed automatic classification, routing and processing of documents — areas that affect approval speed, operational control and the reduction of manual work in document-intensive processes.

The Nectain Platform demonstration showed how AI can be involved in the document lifecycle from the moment a document is registered in the system. Instead of relying only on manual initial review, the platform can analyze content, identify important entities and prepare the next steps in accordance with a company’s business logic.

Classification and routing as a new operating model

A key point of the presentations was the shift from rigid rules to semantic models. This matters when companies process documents with different structures, changing templates or OCR errors, because the system needs to consider not only the form of a document but also its context.

“Integrating artificial intelligence into the Nectain Platform is not just a nod to trends, but a technological necessity for modern business. We focus on creating hybrid models that combine classical text processing algorithms with modern neural networks. The main challenge here is to find a balance between recognition accuracy and computing power,” noted Yurii Syvytskyi.

The classification mechanism described at the event is based on vector representations of texts and comparison with existing classes in the company’s knowledge base. Once the document is classified, intelligent routing starts: the system analyzes counterparties, amounts, deadlines and other attributes to build an appropriate approval workflow.

Nectain Platform architecture and data control

Another important aspect of the Nectain Platform is deployment flexibility. AI modules can be deployed in the cloud or on the client’s own infrastructure. For organizations with strict data security requirements, this is significant because confidential information can be processed inside the corporate perimeter.

“Content-based document routing is the next step in the evolution of ECM systems. Thanks to semantic analysis, the Nectain Platform is capable of not only recognizing the document type but also understanding its essence,” emphasized Serhii Balashuk.

Serhii Balashuk also stressed that adopting such tools requires careful data preparation and clear business logic design. Since AI operates on probabilities, the final word in critical decisions should always remain with a human.

Importance for ECM, archives and integration scenarios

The event also covered technological challenges that appear when AI is introduced into existing corporate IT environments. Among the issues discussed were the quality of historical data needed for model training, the need to adapt algorithms to changes in legislation or internal regulations, and integration with existing registries and databases.

In this context, AI was presented not as an isolated add-on but as part of a broader architecture for managing documents and data. For enterprise archives and document platforms, automatic classification and semantic routing can help connect stored information with current business processes while keeping governance requirements in view.

The offline event concluded with a panel discussion, where attendees considered practical application scenarios and technical questions related to integrating AI modules into current document management systems.
